Fired in Mhyepi, Five Apprehended: Here&#8217;s What Happened<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Rajesh Bhandari, Kartik 5, 2074 [Oct. 22, 2017]<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kathmandu &#8211; Shots were fired this morning in Mhyepi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kalyan Gurung, the 23-year old victim from Laphrak, Gorkha, has been severely injured. He was shot on his right calf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the police, the incident took place at 4:30 this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per information furnished by the Kathmandu [Police] Head Rabindra Dhanuk, five, including the suspect, have been caught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police investigation into the incident found a group to have blocked the scooter the victim was traveling on and shot him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This Is What Happened<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The victim teased a girl at a disco in Thamel [the nearby tourist district].<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gurung left Thamel in a scooter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boy friends of the girl followed the scooter in a vehicle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On reaching Mhyepi, the group stopped the scooter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>[the group] shot the victim after stopping the scooter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The police haven&#8217;t released the names of those caught. The police added that the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim is undergoing treatment at The Teaching Hospital.
