It has had no assistance from any organization for reconstruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COMMITTED &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dorjegurung.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/commmitted-needs-your-help-please-help\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">does NOT have enough funds to help them<\/a>&nbsp;and is trying to raise it. As it stands now, we have funds to rebuild the library\/community center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to help, go our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cminepal.org\/how.php#secFour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donation page<\/a>&nbsp;and donate to Earthquake Funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Kumveshwori School...A School in Difficulty\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dD05uE11bhM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I made the video after a short visit to our project site from April 30 to May 2 &#8212; my first visit since the earthquake of April 25 last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My first visit to the small <a href=\"https:\/\/dorjegurung.com\/blog\/school-profiles\/kumveshwori-primary-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kumveshwori Primary School<\/a> was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dorjegurung.com\/blog\/2014\/07\/reading-in-thangpalkot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in February 2014<\/a>&nbsp;when we&nbsp;went there to oversee the Star Reader Prize Distribution program, a program put in place after COMMITTED <a href=\"https:\/\/dorjegurung.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/project-update-what-is-this-obsession-people-have-with-books\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">built a library<\/a> for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(It was then that I first heard of Muskaan, the voracious young reader, whose story I first shared in the <a href=\"https:\/\/dorjegurung.com\/blog\/fundraising\/a-fundraiser-run-to-stop-child-trafficking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Run to Stop Child Trafficking campaign page<\/a>, and again in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dorjegurung.com\/blog\/2014\/07\/stolen-innocence-and-lost-dreams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stolen Innocence and Lost Dreams<\/a>. Without a proper school, many of the children in Gunsa the school serves are in more of a precariously situation.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My second visit was in October 2014 when I was there to talk to the school administrators about their needs. Their needs now is for&#8230;a school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One year on, Kumveshwori Primary School has received no help from any organization or the government.
