When I used to teach, I would begin a topic with a multi-media PowerPoint presentation. The objectives were to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. introduce the most important concept in the topic,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. get my students\u2019 imagination going,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. put the topic into wider context, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. start the topic with some\u2026laughter!!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I thought some teachers and students might find those presentations useful. So I\u2019ll be sharing them here as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The following, if you have\u2019t already guessed it, is the introduction to the topic Kinetics<\/a>, the study of the rate (speed) of chemical reactions. (This is the second post in the series. You can find the introductory presentation I used for Chemical Bonds here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Of course, since I didn\u2019t record the presentation, my commentaries are missing. But it might be interesting (challenging?) for you to try to figure out the commentary I must have accompanied each slide with!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
