Human Rights and Education of Marginalized Nepalese

A video of the the presentation I made at four different locations during my April-May 2014 visit to the US. It covers the plight of marginalized groups such as Dalits, women, Tharus and Tamangs both in the country (Nepal) and abroad, and what COMMITTED is doing about it all.

A wintry visit to our project site to add additional cages to the pond, to give a presentation about the fishery to the community, and to assess the financial conditions of families of some of the Dalit children attending Raithane School.

Project Update: Dolagiri School Improvement

We are in the process of completing a series of SBE and SIP related projects we have been conducting at Dolagiri School in Changu Narayan just outside of Bhaktapur. The seven-month long project involving infrastructure and resource upgrades and the establishment of two SBE projects is nearing its end. Read the blog for specifics.

Project Update:…Teach a Man to Fish…

Social Business for Education farming projects, once set up, will generate income for the school making it self-sufficient. In the case of Raithane School. the project is a fishery, which we setup during this visit to the village.
