Nepal, When a Vast Majority Can’t Think Or Reason Logically, How Can You Have Accountability?!

justification and reasoning the nepali way featimage

Nepali society is highly dysfunctional, hollow, and deeply flawed. There are many reasons behind that.

One is that Nepalis struggle greatly to empathize with fellow Nepalis even while they take pride in being born in the same country as the historical Buddha.

Another is that accountability for one's words and actions are virtually nonexistent. The reason? The level of education of the population is low, and even that education is of poor quality, the products of which are people unable to think and reason logically.

I have come to the conclusion that Nepalis in general struggle to empathize with fellow Nepalis who are, for example, suffering for whatever reason. The reason behind that is their low power of imagination.

Why are their power of imagination low? Caste system induced attitude, lack of travel experience, poor quality of both formal and informal education, and lack of reading culture.

A vast majority of poorly educated Nepalis raise their sons by pampering and pandering to them. Consequently, Nepali society ends up with an inordinately high percentage of arrogant and ignorant males who believe they deserve -- or are entitled to -- all the male privileges society affords them. One entitlement they believe in is to the bodies of females.

Of course, quality education for the masses is the solution.

But what percent in Nepal are aware of that, forget doing something actively in their everyday lives to counter their devastating impacts? What percent are even knowledgeable about what caste privilege is? This blog post summarizes some of that which constitutes caste privilege.
