One of the happiest days of my life was a Spring day in 1990. At the time, I was wrapping up my second year at UWC of the Adriatic and waiting to hear from American colleges and universities I had applied to. A letter from Grinnell College would make my day then!

If you have been on the move most of your life, then you know there's something about being on the move...being on the road...something about traveling, exploring places, and reconnecting and connecting with people!
As pleasant as my visit to the US this time has been, re-connecting with old friends and making new friends, the tragedy unfolding back home in Nepal has been a constant preoccupation. While my uncharacteristic absent-mindedness from the start of the journey has made me part with a number of things of little value at different times, the earthquake has taken many that are irreplaceable.
