The Price of “Nepali Time”: How Disrespect for Time Reveals Disregard for Life

If you value time and human life, then you would respect the time of another human being.

"Nepali Time," a famous local concept, to those who value time and life, is a sign of disrespect. That is: disrespecting a person's time is disrespecting them, and a persistent pattern suggests you don't sufficiently value their life.

In order for Nepal to make progress, the country must mass educate the population so that they learn to value time considerably more and therefore the lives of others.

The Sham Authority of Tanka Dahal’s “Federation of International Journalist”

FIJA appears to be a toothless non-profit organization registered in the US. It also appears to be of, for, and by the hill so-called high caste Hindus of Nepal. It purports to champion "freedom of the press" around the world. But, pathetically, one of the recent things it did was to lend support to the work of Tanka Dahal, its General Secretary, a known purveyor of misinformation. Ironically, Dahal is also a staunch monarchist. The 250-year history of the Khas-arya monarchy in Nepal was characterized by the regime stifling rights and curtailing many freedoms, including freedom of press!

From Trauma to Growth: Why Nepali Culture MUST Prioritize the Emotional Lives of Children

Traditional Nepalis' belief that children should be spoken to, not listened to, is highly detrimental. It has promoted a culture--at home, school, and in society--that fails to cater to the emotional needs of children, raising emotionally stunted and immature adults, especially the males who, more likely than not, use verbal, emotional and physical violence to communicate.

Solution is to respect children, abandon, our punitive culture, impart critical thinking skills among others.

New Nepal: Break the Chain, Make Education Everything

Excluding the brief direct rule by former King Gyanendra following a 2005 coup, in its 250+-year history, Nepal has had four regimes, all led by the Khas-aryas, the Tagadhaaris (the Hill so-called high caste Hindus). The result: the country remains one of the poorest in the world.

One of the main reasons for this poverty is the deliberately suppressed and low level of education among the population.

The New Nepal must have a representative government and prioritize education above all else if it hopes to make progress.
